When I registered for this course, I was not entirely sure what to expect in terms of its structure. Now that the class has begun, I am starting to see the value of the course and the many ways I will be able to apply the skills I learn, both professionally and personally. I do not consider myself highly technical, but I do enjoy learning to use various technological tools to support and enhance the work I do.

I am genuinely excited to be part of this course. Having a space where I can be creative and produce my own work will positively influence my learning process in ways that are productive, engaging, and enjoyable. I hope to use the experiences I gain here to improve my teaching and learning practices. As a current student, I expect the tools we use to be practical and meaningful for my own learning, and ultimately, I hope to integrate them into my teaching to better facilitate students' learning.

Taking this course now feels like perfect timing. As a teacher, it can be challenging and time-consuming to explore new tools, especially when trying to teach students how to use them effectively. Through this course, I hope to practice using a variety of technological tools so that I can confidently incorporate them into my instruction. My goal is to support learning and create interactive online environments that enhance both instruction and student engagement.

  1. Hi! I really enjoyed reading your post because I can relate to a lot of what you shared. When I first registered for this course, I honestly was not expecting that we would be creating blogs or using so many different technology tools. At first, I was a little unsure about what to expect, but now I am excited about everything we will learn throughout the course.

I also like that this class gives us the opportunity to be creative while learning practical skills we can use in real life situations. Even though I do not consider myself highly technical either, I enjoy learning new tools that can make teaching and learning more engaging. I think it is great that you are already thinking about how to apply these experiences in your own classroom to support student learning and engagement.

  2. Hi there! I really connected with your point about not considering yourself highly technical, but still wanting to learn how to use different tools in meaningful ways. I feel similarly at the beginning of this course. Sometimes new technologies can feel overwhelming, but this class seems like a good space to experiment, create, and learn by doing. I also appreciate how you connected the course to your teaching practice! Your goal of using these tools to support student engagement and create more interactive learning environments aligns closely with the purpose of this course. I am excited to see what tools and ideas you explore throughout the semester!
